Installation of Two DICE™ Dosing Modules
Case Study
First Application
- Sodium hypochlorite (12.5%)
- Typical operating conditions: 1-2GPH @62psi
- 1/2” module (DICE™ DM)
- Acrylic block, PVC components
Context
The module is part of a duplex system supplied by Vessco Inc. that integrates one DICE™ module and two chemical dosing pumps. The first dosing module was installed in September 2023 in the City of Blaine’s water treatment plant. As we’re writing these lines, the average daily water demand is 6.5 million gallons per day for a population of 75,000.*
“In the past, I experienced leak challenges with traditional dosing systems. DICE™ integrates all the essential discharge components needed for a standard chemical dosing system into one module. This reduces the number of connections and minimizes the potential for leakage, which is a significant advantage for us.”
Simplicity & Installation
“I first heard about the DICE™ Chemical Dosing Systems at the AWWA ACE 2023. I was genuinely impressed by the innovative and simpler design, which significantly reduces the likelihood of leakage compared to traditional dosing systems.
The entire process was time-saving. From placing an order to setting up the module, it was both simple and efficient. With a traditional system, we would have needed up to eight hours and two people to install it. However, each DICE™ was fixed on a concrete wall in less than one hour by one person, and no specific tools were required.”
Reduced Footprint
“This all-in-one solution also requires a much smaller footprint, allowing my team better access to the systems around the DICE™. This drastically simplifies our day-to-day operations and ensures a significantly safer working environment for my team.”
Future Projects
“It is truly a remarkable breakthrough for water treatment plants. We had a great experience with the Meunier Technologies team, and their excellent communication made the whole process much easier. We plan to install more DICE™ Chemical Dosing Systems in the future.”
